CD The White Cedar Hiker - White Cedar is a strong wood compared to its brother the Red Cedar. This wood is creamy white and often shows fantastic red to brown grain patterns. Each piece of cedar is carefully chosen, cut, sanded and sprayed with a protective clear coat lacquer to bring out the cedar's natural beauty. Please note that some natural cracking may occur.
White cedar was given the name arborvitae or "tree of life" way back in the 16th century when the French explorer Jacques Cartier learned from the Indians how to use the tree's foliage to treat scurvy.
This hiking stick is a dream to maintain. Just lightly sand down the area that is scratched with either fine sand paper or with fine grade steel wool, wipe clean with a dry cloth and then spray with a clear lacquer.
