It's everything you would hope for in a stick! The weight is good and the surface is somewhat smooth to the touch. I required a cut. The result was the tip is not strait to the surface. Additional care should be used when cutting to size by allowing the tip to hit the surface evenly.

I wanted this stick for hiking on rough terrain. I was unsure as to the length but followed the recommendations the site provided. It is a perfect length. The quality of the stick is excellent with a smooth finish despite the rough exterior. The rubber foot is sturdy enough to handle snow and ice and should last a long time.
