These are the nicest canes I’ve ever had. The two canes weigh less than one of the canes I was issued from the hospital 40 years ago now. I find the lightness is a real benefit and they are less clumsy than the old canes, but do the same job!
I much prefer canes. In Ontario the OHIP (Ontario Health Insurance Program) will cover the cost of a walker. Walkers are huge, get in the way and do not encourage as much physical exercise as canes. I want to preserve my ability to walk as long as I can so I much prefer using canes.
Canes Canada is the best supplier - I was amazed at how quickly and economically this order arrived. Really pleased! Thanks so much! Your representative, Courtney, also did a fantastic job of looking after my questions and concerns. She’s a terrific person to have on your team.
Just as a note of interest, I've had two canes since 1976. I went to a dentist close by and left my cane by the coat rack. The dental office is close to a passport office and there were many people standing in the mall that day. Someone came in and helped themselves to my cane. I was quite shocked and wondered if there was a misconception that dental offices in Ontario offer free canes!
